Dale Thomas Pennington, 60, of Rising Sun, MD passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016. Born October 10, 1955 in Salem County, New Jersey, Dale was the son of Helen Joan (Tolson) Pennington and the late Robert L. Pennington.

Dale loved fishing and playing pool. He enjoyed working on anything mechanical especially fixing cars. Dale was the kindest man you’d ever meet and would give you the shirt off his back. He cherished his time spent with his loving family and friends.

Dale is survived by his loving companion of thirty years, Carolyn Jamison of Quarryville, PA; daughter, Laura Pennington; son, Nick Pennington of Rising Sun, MD; grandson, Adam Mahek; granddaughter, Krysta Rose Rife; mother, Helen Pennington; four sisters, Denise Pennington, Darlene and Thomas Bright, Donna Fear and Diane Mulford all of Pennsville, NJ; and brother, Robert David and Mary Pennington of New Castle. DE.

A memorial service will be held in Dale’s honor at 2PM on October 8, 2016 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911, where family and friends may visit beginning at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Carolyn Jamison to help with medical and funeral expenses and sent in care of the funeral home.
