







Craig Hampton “Red” Reid, age 62, of Street, MD, passed away on Monday, June15, 2015 following an extended illness at Forest Hill Health & Rehabilitation in Forest Hill, MD. He was born July 4, 1952 in Havre de Grace, MD.
He graduated from Bel Air High School in 1971, drove a truck for Umberly Trucking Co. and later became a heavy equipment operator for Crouse Construction, Comer Construction and Dixie Construction.
He was also a former member of Bel Air and Darlington Volunteer Fire Departments. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR and football. He was an avid bird watcher and a member of the Audubon Society. Red worked hard, enjoyed life, and loved spending time with family and friends who will greatly miss his ready smile and hearty laugh.
He is survived by his mother, Eleanor (Duff) Hrubesh, of Port Deposit, MD; father, Ralph Reid and wife, Carla, of Fallston, MD; brothers Kenneth Reid and wife Kathy of Bel Air, MD, and Bradley Reid, of Baltimore, MD; nephews Kenneth Reid and Brian Reid and wife Cortney, a niece Morgan Reid, three grandnieces and several cousins.
He is predeceased by his birth father, Fred Brown.
A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Hopewell Cemetery, 1811 Hopewell Road, Port Deposit, MD 21904. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution checks can be made to ” American Cancer Society” and sent c/o R.T. Foard Funeral Home, PA, 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
