Connie Jane LaVigne, age 77, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025. She was born on August 3, 1948, in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, and grew up surrounded by the love of her family, who shaped the strong, compassionate woman she became.
Connie worked as an administrative assistant thru the years. In recent years, she was proud to help her daughter and son-in-law with many tasks relating to their businesses.
Family and faith were the cornerstones of Connie’s life. She was deeply devoted to her children and had an immeasurable love for her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride. Her Christian faith guided her daily, and she was an active and faithful member of Harvest Christian Ministries. Connie also served as an ordained minister, sharing encouragement, prayer, and support with anyone in need. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones leave a legacy that will continue in the hearts of all who knew her.
Connie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas L. LaVigne; her mother, Donna Mary; her parents, Irvin and Betty Lou Arnold; and her brother, Tommy Arnold.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna McKelvey (Mike); her son, Paul LaVigne (Emily); and her cherished grandsons, Logan and Mikey. She is also lovingly remembered by extended family members Shawn, Nathan, Amber (Anthony), Giana, Taze, Kylie, Hanna (Landon), and Rylie, as well as her brothers Irvin Arnold III and Gerald Arnold.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM at R. T. Foard Funeral Home, 318 George Street, Chesapeake City, Maryland. Family and friends may visit
beginning at 1:00 PM. A private burial will take place in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
Connie’s life was one of love, faith, and dedication. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
