Clifton John McClelland, age 75, of Port Deposit, MD passed away peacefully on June 9, 2018. Born on July 17, 1942 in Baltimore City, he was the son of the late Leroy S. McClelland, Jr. and Mary M. (Greenwell) McClelland.
Cliff worked for General Motors for over 44 years. He spent a lot of his time at the Elkton Senior Center participating in activities, such as Bingo and Wii Bowling, where he was on the championship bowling team. Cliff loved to dance, party, smile, and play Wii and Xbox games. He will be remembered for his ability to light up the room, always making jokes and bringing joy to those around him. Cliff’s most cherished time was spent with his family.
Cliff is survived by his daughters: Danta Ermer and her husband, John, and Shan’ette McClelland; grandchildren: Kylee Addicks, Olivia Ermer, Michael Ermer, Shaina Akins, and Nikki Pierce; siblings: Robert McClelland, Joyce McClelland, Linda McClelland, Michelle McClelland, and Karen McClelland. In addition to his parents, Cliff is preceded by his wife, June Krissy McClelland; son, David McClelland; grandson, Stevie Liersemann; and brother, George McClelland.
Services for Cliff will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Cliff’s honor to the “American Diabetes Association” or the “American Cancer Society” and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., PO Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
