Clifford L. Foraker, age 56, of Newark, DE, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. He was born on August 15, 1955 to the late Hazel Price Foraker and Mary Alice (Faulkner) Janvier.
Clifford worked as a self-employed handy man. He enjoyed fishing, antique cars and wood working. He also enjoyed listening to music, especially classic and southern rock.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cheri Montgomery-Foraker of Newark, DE; daughters, Ciara Montgomery of Newark, DE, Marion Foraker Wilson (Daniel) of Iowa, and Sally Mead of Iowa; grandson, Benjamin Mead of Iowa; sisters, Ruthann Campbell of New Castle, DE and Caroline Foraker Nickle (Robert) of Newark, DE; brother, Carl Foraker (Betsy) of Newark, DE; numerous nieces and nephews; sister in law, Kelly Montgomery of Newark, DE; and his cat, Bullie.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Eddy Foraker; sister, Marion Foraker; and nephew, Michael Ray Foraker.
Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at R.T. Foard and Jones, Inc., 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711, where friends and family may call one hour prior. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or AIDS Delaware, c/o the funeral home.
