Clarence Richard Stout, “Dick,” age 84, of Newark, Delaware, passed away on June 25, 2026. He was born on January 23, 1942, in Wilmington, Delaware, to the late Richard Stout and Julia (Walsh) Stout.

Dick was a lifelong resident of Newark, Delaware and a proud graduate of Salesianum High School and the University of Delaware. He maintained an active connection to both Salesianum and the U of D throughout his life.

Dick was a man of deep commitments — to his family, his faith, his community, and everything he loved. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and skier. He was a past president of New Castle County Ducks Unlimited and a longtime member of Newark Country Club. His dedication to the Philadelphia Phillies was absolute and lifelong.

Dick built his professional career across two businesses — Newark Dental Associates, where he worked with his twin brothers, Ed and Joe, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. He later founded R&P Distribution in 1995.

Dick is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Stout; sons Mark Stout and Daniel Stout (Nicole); son-in-law Celal Ilgaz; and grandchildren Katherine Buchanan (Kyle), Jillian Stout, Luke Stout, Parker Ilgaz, Gabriella Stout, Olivia Stout, and Mia Stout.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julianna Ilgaz, and his siblings Joseph Stout, D.D.S., Edmond Stout, D.D.S., and Sr. Maureen Stout, O.S.F.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Holy Angels Parish, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, Delaware 19711. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private.
