Clara Bonita Eastridge, 90, of Darlington, MD, passed away at her home January 27, 2014.
Born in Grassy Creek, NC on May 6, 1923, Clara was the daughter of the late Arthur Jackson and Isabel Garris West. She worked as a telephone operator for C&P Telephone Co. and also worked at APG during the war. She loved to travel and also enjoyed gardening and flowers.
She is survived by her sister Katherine Chatham of Darlington and a brother Floyd G. West of Williamsburg, VA; several nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Garmon Eastridge and her son David.
A service honoring her life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 on Friday January 31, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation beginning at 1:00. Burial will follow at Conowingo Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Darlington Fire Company and mailed to the funeral home.
