Christopher Stephen Brown of Colora died suddenly in a work accident on December 29, 2022.
He was 37.
He was born in Baltimore, MD February 20, 1985, the only son of Bernie and Kathy Brown of Conowingo.
Chris was a self-made man with many interests and hobbies. He was a lifelong resident of Cecil County and graduated from Rising Sun High School. He was a gifted diesel mechanic who worked his way from apprentice to Master ASE certified Heavy/Medium Duty Technician. He was dedicated to his family and community. He loved tractors and tow trucks and most anything with an engine. He enjoyed growing his own food and was proud of his garden. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an active community volunteer, helping with Conowingo Lions Club Bingo and their other programs which included shopping for and preparing food baskets for the needy. He was also active with the APWGAD and all of their programs and needy helping.
In addition to his parents, Chris was survived by his wife Madeline, and children, Owen and Abigail and grandparents and Bernard Jr. and Betty Brown He is also survived by his in-laws – Bruce and Louise Mulligan, sister-in-law Megan and Shane, brother-in-law Eamon, and Ashley, and beloved nephews, Elijah and Weston. Chris is also survived by a host of extended family – aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His grandparents. Walter and Helen Miller, died before him.
He leaves behind a host of friends and a family who will miss him greatly.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 8, 2023 at The Carriage House, 80 South Main Street, Port Deposit, from 2-8 p.m. A memorial service honoring his life will be held at The Carriage House at 6 p.m. on January 9 with Rev. Tony Haywood, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his memory be made to APWGAD, 27 Ridge Run Road, North East, Md. 21901. In Chris’ memory, a feeding program will be established to benefit Cecil County children.
