Christoper Hudson

January 9, 1983 - June 28, 2012

Christopher ‘Sean’ Hudson, age 29, died suddenly on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at his home in Newark, DE after a long struggle with his addiction. He is the son of Lloyd and Sharon Hudson.

He attended Newark High School and received his high school degree from Groves High School. Sean worked as a prep chef at various restaurants. He enjoyed music, played the drums and saxophone, and also participated in many sports – ice skating, soccer, and baseball.

In addition to his parents Lloyd and Sharon, he is survived by his sisters, Staci Hudson of Newark, DE, and Alana (Minni) Hudson and her spouse Christina Baade of Ontario, Canada; brothers Scott Hudson and his wife Bonnie of Austin, TX and Kevin Sakda Hudson of Dover, DE; and four nieces and nephews.

A Service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at R.T. Foard & Jones F.H., 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711. Friends and family may visit two hours prior to service. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the Newark Free Library, Seeing Eye, Inc., or Welcome House c/o the funeral home.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathies for your loss. We all look forward to the near future when the earth will be a renewed paradise and Jesus hope inspiring words will be fulfilled: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life.�?—John 5:28, 29.

I do not know your family but we adopted a fivve year old girl from Korea through Welcome House. Our daughter is now 30 and doing well. Adoption issues run deep for some adoptees and this probably had at least something to do with your son's addiction. I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am for the loss of your son, hoping you all know how much better a life he had in this country than he would have had in his country of origin. Hope good memories will be a comfort.
