Christina Elizabeth Delmotte, “Tina,” age 42 of Wilmington, DE, passed away surrounded by loving family and friends on March 8, 2026. She was born on December 4, 1983 in Bloomington, Illinois to Stephen L. Delmotte and Janet R. (Drechsel) Delmotte.

Tina loved the simple things, and even though she didn’t have the words, you always knew what she meant. She loved people watching, sailing with her family, laughing herself silly and indulging her sweet tooth. Even though she became less mobile and able in her later years, she never lost her sparkly personality. Her infectious smile was unforgettable to all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Tina is survived by her mother, Janet Delmotte; her younger sister, Sarah Delmotte-Rucinski (Anthony); uncles: Jim Drechsel (Janice), Mark Delmotte (Kathleen), and Scott Delmotte (Theresa); aunt, Camille Delmotte (Maria); and numerous cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, Stephen Delmotte; paternal grandparents: Roland and Beverly Delmotte; and maternal grandparents: Robert and Elizabeth Drechsel.

A celebration of Tina’s life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM at R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc., 122 W. Main Street, Newark DE 19711. A visitation will begin one hour prior at 10:00am where family and friends are welcome to attend.

Burial will follow at Sharp’s Cemetery. Flowers or memorial contributions are appreciated. Memorial contributions may be made payable to, “Angelman Syndrome Foundation” and sent in care of the funeral home.
