Chester “Brent” Bolingbroke age 68 of Rising Sun, MD passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 17, 2022. Born on November 8, 1953, in Malad City, ID he was the son of Coralie, and the late Chester L. Bolingbroke.
Brent attended Weber State University in Ogden, UT, where he studied Electrical Engineering. Brent worked in aerospace and defense, for Morton Thiokol Inc and retired from Northrop Grumman. His family would say he was a “Rocket Scientist.” Among other endeavors, Brent worked on the NASA Space Shuttle Booster Rockets and was part of the team instrumental in landing the NASA Rover safely on the surface of Mars. Brent had a great love for God and his family; and enjoyed traveling and photography. He was a life-long-learner and an active proponent of Education. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Brent volunteered years of service. His last calling was as a BYU Pathway Connect Missionary where he helped prepare students for higher education. Service to his Church was a life-long passion. He loves people and could find common ground with everyone he met. He dedicated his entire life to his God, Faith and Family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Brent is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Suzan Bolingbroke and 5 children: Jason (Noelle) Bolingbroke, Michelle Logan, Jacyln (Bridger) Kempton, Tyler (Mary) Bolingbroke, Andrea (Ryan) Ruegner; 20 Grandchildren; 4 siblings: Bonalee Larson, Shellie Anderson, Troy Bolingbroke, Kelly Bolingbroke; and a multitude of extended family.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 5:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 21 Foster Lane, North East, MD
