She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Murray Jesse Zepp, in 2012 and sister, Gloria Nagle Funk, in 2019. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Charlotte worked in Administration for the Gunther Brewing Company in Baltimore, MD before moving to Rising Sun in 1964. Charlotte was an active member of Janes United Methodist Church (now Janes Church) of Rising Sun, MD volunteering as a greeter, on the hospitality committee, and the Gathering Place. Charlotte was also an active member of the former Chantilly Manor Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf with her friends and the ladies’ groups. She was also sports enthusiast cheering for the Baltimore Ravens, Orioles, and following golf tournaments with keen interest. She kept a very active schedule with her lifelong friends scheduling weekly lunches and breakfasts. Charlotte also continued to be active with the Maryland State Police Alumni Association and Rising Sun Lions Club to honor her late husband’s commitment with both organizations. Charlotte also took immense pride in maintaining her home as an inviting place for family and friends to gather.
Charlotte was a beacon of warmth and care. She never missed sending a holiday or birthday cards and regularly checking on family and friends. Charlotte leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
