Charlotte F. Veasey, aged 59, of Newark, DE passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Christiana Care in Newark, DE.
She was born on July 14, 1953 in Chestertown, MD to Esther (Wiltbanks) Meeks and the late Ivan Wilmer Meeks.
Charlotte enjoyed watching NASCAR, her favorite driver being Bill Elliott, reading, and trips to Ocean City, MD, but what she enjoyed the most was being the loving and devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Christine Robinson and companion Daniel Bennett of Austin, TX, and April Clancy and companion Chris Walls of Newark, DE; mother Esther Meeks of Worton, MD; brothers Lee Meeks of Chestertown, MD, Larry Meeks and wife Nancy of Chestertown, MD, Thomas Meeks and wife Marie of Worton, MD; grandchildren Veronica Smith and Robert Smith of Austin, TX and Felicia and Brett Clancy of Newark, DE; step son Michael Lux and wife Brenda of Newark, DE.
In addition to her father Ivan Wilmer Meeks, she is predeceased by her loving husband Franklin “Tom” Veasey who passed away in 2011, and her brother Harry “Hoppy” Meeks.
Service will be held 11AM on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 E. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921. Friends and family may visit one hour prior beginning at 10AM.
