Charlotte L. (Walker) Brown, 80, of Elkton, MD, passed away March 29, 2016 at home after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Hayti, PA, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Fredrick C. Beckett, Sr. and Margaret B. (Walker) Beckett. She was a graduate of West Chester High School and worked as a photo typesetter at the Opportunity Center. She enjoyed spending time on the computer and researching her ancestry. Charlotte traveled extensively with her daughter and enjoyed crocheting. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

To cherish her memory are her four daughters, LaWanda McIntosh and her husband Freddie, Freida Brown, Jill Spence and her husband Tommy, and Anita Lacy; her sisters, Margaret Thompson, Barbara Beckett, Sylvia Beckett, and Antonia Dickinson and her husband Edward. As well as a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, cousins, nieces , nephews and one special great grandson Aiden Brown and his mother Erica Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Ralph and Fredrick Beckett, Jr.

Memorial services will be held at St. Johns A.M.Church, 77 New London Road, Newark Delaware 19711. At 10:AM, April 16th 2016.
