In Loving Memory of Charles Michael Robinson
Charles Michael Robinson, age 74, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024. Born in Fountain Glen, MD, on September 19, 1949, he was the beloved son of the Late Charles A. and Dellamae (nee, Burkins) Robinson, and the devoted husband of 51 years to Vicki Lynn Robinson.
Charles served his country with honor as a dedicated member of the United States Army. Following his military service, he continued to contribute to the defense forces as a civilian for the Maryland Army National Guard, serving as a Contract and Procurement Officer until his well-earned retirement.
Beyond his professional commitments, Charles found joy and solace in the wonders of the universe as an amateur astronomer. His passion for star gazing was evident to all who knew him, as he often shared the marvels of the night sky with friends and family. Additionally, he embraced the simple pleasures of life, frequently enjoying bike rides, fishing excursions, antiquing adventures, and nature hikes, particularly relishing these outdoor pursuits in the company of his cherished daughter, Lindsay.
Fondly remembered as a good listener, outgoing, and always willing to go out of his way to help others, Charles leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity. His warm-hearted nature endeared him to a wide circle of friends and acquaintances, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Robinson; his daughter, Lindsay Robinson; his sister, Melanie Wiggins, and her husband Charles; his brother, Patrick Robinson, and his wife Beth; and his beloved fox hound, Missy.
In accordance with his wishes, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions should be made to the American Heart Association.
