Charles Mark Plank, 82, of Elkton, MD, passed away June 28, 2012.
Born in Philipsburg, PA on October 8, 1929, Mark was the son of the late Mark Baylor and Pauline Shields Plank. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. He retired as a contract officer from Aberdeen Proving Ground in 1992.
He is survived by three sons, Randy Charles Plank of Philadelphia, PA, Don Mathias Plank of North East, MD and Scot Bradford Plank of Havre de Grace, MD; and a daughter Darlene Christine Plank-Turlington of Lake Harmony, PA. He was preceded in death by his sons Mark Stephen and Ron Clifford Plank and his former wife Alice W. Myers Plank.
A service honoring his life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921 on Saturday July 7, 2012 at 12 noon. Friends and family may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Please wear something purple or lavender to the service to honor Mark. Burial will be private.
