Charles Henry Breza, Sr., age 78, of Chesapeake City, MD, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Heartland Hospice House in Wilmington, DE. He was born May 5, 1936 in Elkton, MD to the late John and Monica (Schrieber) Breza.
Charles attended Salesianum High School and graduated 1954. During 1955, Charles started his business Breza Communications Co. where he repaired televisions, radio equipment and electronics for 20 years. He also worked as the Chief Engineer for several radio stations including; WAMS, WNRK, and WTUX in the Newark, Delaware area. Charles graduated from Delaware State University in 1976 with a degree in Physics. He and his family then moved to Carrollton, Virginia where Charles worked for the Department of the Navy as an Engineer and retired twenty years later in 1999. Charles enjoyed sailing, photography and tinkering with his computers.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Patricia Sutton; his sons Charles “Chuck” Breza, Jr., of Elkton, MD and Jeffrey J. Breza, Sr. and wife Helene of Chesapeake City, MD; his daughters Deborah Starr and husband Sam of Newark, DE and Michele Moon and husband Steve of Elkton, MD; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and a sister Bette Luzetsky of Chesapeake City, MD.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 231 Basil Ave., Chesapeake City, MD 21915. Family and friends may visit from 9 – 10:30 on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD 21915. Burial will follow Mass at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Chesapeake City.
