Carolyn S. Wessells, age 69, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Season’s Hospice at Christiana Care in Newark, DE. She was born August 7, 1944 in Wilmington, DE to the late John S. and Elva (Justice) Morris.
She worked most of her life for Sodexo in the food services division as a cashier, and later as a supervisor. Known for her great cooking and baking skills, she would prepare wonderful meals for family and friends. Carolyn loved to travel, and visited many destinations around the U.S., especially Las Vegas, as well as several cruises. She was also an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Harry, her daughters Billie Ringgold and husband John of Elkton, MD, Judy Messick and husband Russell of Newark, DE, and Sara Wessells and her companion Cecil Jackson of Elkton, MD; and 4 grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Scott Wessells.
