I am sorry that Carolyn has passed and my thoughts are with her and her family. She was kind and thoughtful and certainly part of the reason we bought our home in Lewes. I regret I had not seen her recently, but I am glad she is at peace and with John.

To Anne and girls,
I have worked with Carolyn at Avon Products for years. We became good friends and had alot of good times together. I still have all her cards and letters from her mother who I cared about deeply. So sorry for your lost. She loved her family. Now she is with John and her loved ones already passed on. She is finally home and her faith was strong. I wish your family peace.

Anne, Sam & Abby,
I am so sorry to hear about the lost of our dear Carolyn (or Boo, as I called her). Memories of our countless discussions and funny banter over many dinners will always remind me of not only her incredible courage in times of difficulties, but also her unshakable faith in God, her love of life and everything in it, and her pride in, and love for, you three. I know she'll be waiting for me with a hot fudge sundae (for me) and a strawberry one (for her) so we can finally solve the problems of the world we never quite solved during our many nights at Lewes Beach!
God rest her sweet, caring, fun-loving soul, and wishing all three of you peace at this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. Carolyn was one of the first people I met when I joined cancer support group of DE. She was so welcoming to me. I, too have ovarian cancer and we bonded over this and cats. She was my inspiration. She was the glue that held our little group together. Carolyn was a very special person and she will be missed dearly by me and the rest of cancer support support group.

My sympathies in the loss of your mother Anne. I'm sure that you don't remember me, but, I was a frequent visitor to your home when Carolyn was my secretary in data processing at AVON. She also gave my family our first cat (silver gray kitten). I truly enjoyed knowing her and John. You have my sympathies.

We are long-term members of Bethel U.M. Church in Lewes. We really got to know Carolyn when her husband, John, became ill. As members of the Lewes Fire Dept Ambulance squad, we moved John from their home to Beebe Hospital several times. When I became ill with Multiple Myeloma, Carolyn made a point of calling me every Sunday afternoon to encourage me. I'm sorry to say I wasn't able to return the favor but she was always in my nightly prayers. It was announced at the 0915 service last Sunday that she was in hospice care. Regretfully, where she was with hospice wasn't announced. With the holiday, we were not able to find out "where" she was with Hospice, i.e., home, Milford Hospice or elsewhere. Carolyn will never be forgotten. I know she is smiling in Heaven and John is too. Caddie Ann Joseph, husband, "Chubby".

Dear Anne, Same and Abby, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved mother and grand mother. I had the great privilege of knowing her through the Cancer Support Group. She was truly a first rate human being, a joy to be with, loving and supportive to all and mostly she was a Warrior. You were blessed to have your own Super Hero. She inspired so many and taught us all to have a little more faith and a little less fear. I loved her as did everyone who shared the journey with her. I'm sure she will be with you and watching over you always.

My condolences to your family. Carolyn was the Data Processing Department Secretary at Avon for many years. She was always cheerful and helpful to all...and that beautiful laugh...I actually saw her last year at 1776 Steak House at lunch time...I heard her laugh and as she was leaving, I said Carolyn is that you? and she said how did you recognize me and I said but, of course, that laugh! May she rest in peace with the Lord.Best Regards,Ivy Benson
