Carolyn Ann Stopyra, age 79, of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015 after a short illness, at Christiana Care in Newark, DE, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 28, 1936 in Wilmington, DE to the late Anthony S. and Hattie (Supinski) Pinkowski.
She was a traditional housewife who dedicated her life to loving and caring for her husband and family, who will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Francis C. Stopyra, and her sons, Edward Stopyra and his wife, Mary Alice, of Vero Beach, FL, and Robert Stopyra, of Newark, DE.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE 19711. Family and friends may visit one hour prior in the narthex beginning at 10AM. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington, DE.
