Carol Maxine Gutberlet, age 72, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. She was born in Fork, MD on May 25, 1948 to the late Frederick Carl Melber, Sr. and Lucille (McGrady) Melber.
Carol took great joy in working around the yard with her husband, Gary. She loved playing bingo and was often known as the “Bingo Queen”. During her free time, Carol enjoyed reading and putting puzzles together. She will be dearly missed.
Carol is survived by her three brothers: Larry Melber and his wife, Deborah, Fred Carl Melber, Jr., and John Melber; and three sisters: Gail Scott, Anne Parson and her husband, Dick, and Debbie Miller and her husband, James. In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Gutberlet; son, Jimmy Gutberlet; sister, Barbara Blevins and brother, George Melber.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made payable to “The Arthritis Foundation” and send in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
