Carla Coutts Miners, age 73 of Chesapeake City, MD passed away on August 20, 2016. She was born on June 25, 1943 in Abington, PA to the late, Charles and Marian Bond.
Carla was a graduate of Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, PA. She worked as the Director of Marketing at Peddler’s Village in Lahaska, PA and later worked as the Advertising Design Director for Philadelphia Magazine. Most recently, she was the Director of Economic Development and Tourism for Chesapeake City, MD. She was a talented freelance artist and enjoyed sailing through the New England and Chesapeake Bay areas. In fact, she and her husband, Bill, met in 1979 while sailing in Newport, RI.
Carla is survived by her husband, Bill Miners of Chesapeake City, MD; sons: Andrew Coutts and his wife, Jill of Baltimore, MD and William “Billy” J. Miners III of Swanzey, NH; daughters: Sydney Mason and husband, Richard of Langhorne, PA and Kim Steirer and her husband, Jeff of Northampton, PA; and grandchildren: Alex, Campbell, Emma, Will, and Julia.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Carla’s life on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 2:00-4:00PM at The Chesapeake Inn, 605 2nd Street, Chesapeake City, MD 21915. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to, “The Town of Chesapeake City” for their Winterfest celebration and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 318 George Street, P.O.
