Bonnie Mae Jones, age 85 of Rising Sun, MD passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Born February 24, 1927 in Marion, VA, Bonnie was the daughter of Thomas Lee and Margaret (Poston) Johnson.
Bonnie had a kind heart who was a hardworking, loving mother. She enjoyed gardening and loved her flowers. Above all, she cherished her family and loved every moment spent with her grandchildren.
Bonnie is survived by her sons, Bronson Jones, Jr. and his wife, Margaret of Hanover, PA, and Gerald Jones and his wife, Tina of Westfield, PA; daughters, Barbara Atwood and her husband, Junior of Childs, MD, Susan Berry and her husband, Ken of Sussex, New Brunswick, and Mary Lynn Startt and her husband, Al of Elkton, MD; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Earnestine Grinstead, Frances Laletas, and Peggy Lucas.
Including her parents, Bonnie was also preceded in death by her loving husband Bronson Jones, Sr.; her son, Daniel Jones, 1 brother, and 3 sisters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. Friends and Family may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Rosebank Cemetery.
