Bliss Marie Rawling

January 14, 1972 - May 27, 2012

Bliss Marie Rawling died at home on May 27, 2012 after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

Bliss was the wife and long time companion of Andrew Douglass Rawling and the daughter of Judith Burns Isaacson. Bliss was also lovingly raised by Mary Loewenstein Anderson of Elkton, MD and Barbara Barrett of Baltimore, MD, who considered her their own daughter. She was bliss, and a joy to everyone who knew her.

She leaves behind her three dogs Jake, Eli and Rufus.

Bliss was born in Wilmington, Delaware on January 14, 1972 and lived her life in Newark, Delaware. She attended the University of Delaware and was a graphic designer by profession. She loved flowers and everyone who knew and loved her brought her flowers while she could enjoy them.

Throughout her illness Bliss received loving care and kindness from friends and neighbors, the doctors, nurses and staff at Cancer Treatment Centers of America and the Angels of VITAS Innovative Hospice Care. As per the family request, there will be no formal service.

Humankind has lost one of its very best. But while her earthly light may have been dimmed, there's no doubt that a new and brilliant star will shine brightly in the heavens for eternity.

I recognized Bliss in the obituary by her unique name. We went to school together in fifth and sixth grade I have many fond memories of our times there. My thoughts are with the family and hoping they will find comfort, as I have, in the following bible scriptures: John 5:28,29 and Psalms 37:10,11,29.

My heart goes out to Bliss Rawlings family she was such a young, beautiful person. I worked with her mother Judy at Chesapeake Publishing and met Bliss many times there.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Bliss Rawling. Our Heavenly Father knows and truly understands this difficult time that sickness and death brings. He promises in His Word the Bible to wipe all tears from mankind's faces by undoing sickness and death. He will bring back to life those in His matchless memory who have died. Joyous reunions we will experience for no more will we ever be separated by sickness, pain and death. We will live forever in Paradise on earth. I worked with Bliss at The NorEaster Magazine for a short period of time and and came to recognize her as a carrying and talented individual. She will be missed by all who came in contact with her and those whose who never did.
