Blanche “Binky” Mary Fuhrman

February 2, 1950 – July 14, 2024

Blanche “Binky” Fuhrman of Elkton, Maryland passed away on July 14, 2024.  Binky was born on February 2, 1950 to the late William A. and Blanche A. Fuhrman.  Anyone who knew Binky, knew how much she loved and cherished her parents.  She was always willing to share wonderful memories and stories about them.

Binky worked for many years for the Federal Government in Washington, DC and her last job was at the Headquarters for the Department of the Army as an IT Specialist.  Her analytical nature served her well in this field. Upon retiring she resided in Locust Point in Elkton and enjoyed taking care of animals and having “Docktails” with her friends and neighbors.

Binky’s passion in life was animals, especially dogs and squirrels (or her Elliotts, as she called them).  She could often be found feeding the squirrels peanuts in her yard.  Her extraordinarily, well-cared for succession of dogs (Winston, Buddy and Boo), were her constant companions, that she adored.

She is survived by her sister, Beverly Wosniak.

A graveside service is being held on July 18th at 11am.  Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, PA .  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Binky’s name to the SPCA.org.
