Blain E. Wright, of Elkton, Maryland, passed away on September 1, 2024, leaving a legacy rich with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Born on April 3, 1976, in York, Pennsylvania, Blain was the treasured son of Leisa Wright (née Ness) and the late Robert Wright. He grew up alongside his brother, Robert “Bobby” Wright Jr., who preceded him in death.
Blain shared a special bond with his grandmother, Ruthetta “Nan” Ness, who had a profound impact on his life. He is survived by his devoted mother, Leisa Wright, his loving son, Dylan Wright, and his partner, Jerry Daniels. Blain also leaves behind Jerry’s daughters, Madisyn and Piper, who were like family to him.
Blain’s enduring friendship with Kevin Barnes, his best friend of 23 years, was a cornerstone of his life. He is also remembered fondly by a host of nieces and nephews and the extended Daniels and Barnes families.
An avid animal lover, Blain was a proud pet parent to two dogs, Roxy and Marley, and four cats, Tiger, Pete, Casey, and Milo. His home was always filled with the joy and companionship of his furry friends.
Music was a great passion for Blain, and he was a devoted fan of Madonna. His admiration was so profound that he sported a Madonna tattoo and attended over ten of her live performances. Blain’s love for horror movies and his penchant for quoting lines from his favorite comedies added to the many ways he brought humor and joy into the lives of those around him.
Blain’s greatest joy came from spending time with loved ones. Whether at the beach, playing bingo, or attending concerts, he embraced every moment with enthusiasm and heart. He often said he didn’t want to be forgotten, but his vibrant personality and the joy he spread will forever be remembered. His quick wit, generous spirit, and the big hugs he gave will be deeply missed.
A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held on Friday, September 13th, from 6-8 pm at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 E. Main St, Elkton, MD 21921.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Blain’s memory to Faithful Friends Animal Society, 165 Airport Road, New Castle, DE 19720 (www.faithfulfriends.us), a cause dear to his heart.
Blain’s light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
