




















Betty J. Campbell, 77, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 11, 2016. Born on January 4, 1939 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Branton (Clark) Crigler.
Betty helped start the daycare at the Church of the Nazarene with her good friend, Mrs. Moore. She worked at the daycare for many years caring for the many children that came through the doors. In her spare time, Betty greatly enjoyed crafting, especially crocheting and sewing.
Betty is survived by her sons: Daniel T. Campbell and his companion, Samantha Durr, of Nottingham, PA, and John P. Campbell and his companion, Sandy Slayman, of Colora, MD; daughter, Patricia Guns and her husband, Tom, of Rising Sun, MD; brother, William Henry Crigler, Jr. and his wife, Colleen, of Rising Sun, MD; grandchildren: Krysta Guns, Dawn Phipps, and Bryan Slayman; as well as five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur T. Campbell; sister, Inez Groux; and her grandson, Michael Slayman.
Services in Betty’s honor will be held at 11AM on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911, where friends and family may visit beginning at 10AM. Burial will follow at Brookview Cemetery.
