Betty Ann Rash-Walker, age 84 of Newark, DE passed away on March 8, 2018. She was born on November 5, 1933 in Elkton, MD to the late Walter Cole and Anna T. (Haley) Cole.
Betty enjoyed her life to the fullest. She loved spending time with her family and taking trips to Rehoboth Beach and the Delaware Inlet. In her early years, she was a woman who loved to gamble. She would make trips to Atlantic City and Delaware Park hoping to get lucky with the slot machines. Later in life, she enjoyed watching cooking shows and her beloved Philadelphia Eagles.
Betty is survived by her husband of 24 years, Glen Walker; children: Linda, David (Patty), Darlene, Tina, and Mark (Stephanie); sister, Nancy McElwee; grandchildren: Randy, Anna, Stephen, Brandon, Jessica, Amy, Mike, Grace, C.J., Erin, Jesse, and Jenna; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her brother: Bunk; grandson, Chester; brother-in-law, Donald; son-in-law, Gene; and son, Danny.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 1:00 PM at R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc., 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711 with a visitation will beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Pencader Cemetery, 2303 Glasgow Avenue, Glasgow, Delaware, 19702. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “Delaware Hospice” and sent in care of the funeral home.
