Bertha Anna Rixham, age 84, of Rising Sun, MD passed away on August 23, 2015. Bertha was born in Baltimore, MD on November 9, 1930 to the late William G. Brewer and Christine E. (Levy) Brewer.
Bertha is survived by her two sons: Theodore L. Rixham, III, and Bruce A. Rixham and his wife, Paula, and two daughters: Sharon L. Black and Lisa A. Comer. Additionally, she is survived by her 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, two sisters: Betty Gast and Nancy Gondeck, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Theodore L. Rixham, Jr., her three brothers: William (Sonny), Joe, and David Brewer, her two sisters: Chrystelle Brockmeyer and Jean DeStefano, and her son-in-law, Steven Comer.
A service honoring Bertha’s life will be held at 7:30pm on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911, where family and friends may visit starting at 5:30pm. Burial will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 11:00am at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens, 5598 Trumps Mill Road, Baltimore, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the MDS Foundation and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A.
