Benjamin Lee Bollinger, III, 52, of Elkton, MD, passed away at home October 9, 2014 following a lengthy illness surrounded by his family and friends.
A lifelong resident of Elkton, Ben was born on April 28, 1962, the son of Janet Mae Kendall and the late Benjamin Lee Bollinger, Jr. Ben attended Elkton High School and then worked for a time as a welder and most recently worked in the family business delivering plants to various customers in the region. Ben loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and crabbing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister with whom he lived, Denise Bollinger (Bob Redick) of Elkton; and two brothers, Larry (Lynn) and Gary Bollinger, both of Elkton; and two nieces, Brittany Wright, Marina Bollinger and a nephew Tanner Bollinger. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother Michael Rae Bollinger.
Services honoring his life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday October 15, 2014 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921 with a visitation beginning at 12 noon. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and mailed to the funeral home.
