In the early morning hours of April 6th, 2024, Beatrice Yvonne Lynch (Bea), 65, passed away comfortably and peacefully in her sleep after a hard fought battle with her health. She died in a room filled with love, surrounded by all of her children.
Bea was born in Cocoa Beach FL, in 1958 as the third child to parents Norman and Carol Simmons, her family traveled a lot throughout her childhood with the Airforce. After graduating high school in Northeast MD, she married her soulmate and high school sweetheart Jesse R. Lynch in 1976. She continued her education receiving a nursing degree from Cecil collage. She spent her career as an RN primarily at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore MD, after having gotten her start at Harford Memorial in Havre de Grace MD. She spent 25 years married to her best friend raising their family a building a life together before he passed on. Known by most people as Mom Bea or Aunt Bea, she spent her whole life loving and caring for all of the many children in her life, be they her own, her many nieces and nephews, or the dozens of others she collected along the way. Her love for children and being a safe space for the young people around her cannot be overstated and will forever be the legacy she leaves behind. Bea was a beautiful woman with a bright smile, who never took life too seriously and was always, always laughing. She loved Jesse fiercely with her whole heart for her entire life.
Bea was preceded in death by her sister Norma L. Chadwick in 2000, her husband Jesse R. Lynch in 2001, and her father Norman M. Simmons in 2011 and her father-in-law Robert M. Lynch 2013. In her death she leaves behind her mother Carol J. Simmons, her mother-in-law Mauricealean R. Lynch, her brother Norman M. Simmons JR, and her 4 children: Robert M. Lynch II, Blair A. Halbach, Marci Y. Lynch, and Hunter N. Lynch as well as her 2 granddaughters, and numerous extended family members.
In lieu of a funeral a celebration of her life is scheduled to take place on her birthday Thursday April 11,2024 at 1pm at the Sage event hall on main street in Elkton located on the second floor behind Off the Ivy Salon
