Barry Donald Adams, 47, of Towson, MD, formerly of Calvert, MD, passed away suddenly February 9, 2012 at his home.
Born in Havre de Grace, MD on July 21, 1964, Barry was the son of Donald and Wanda Dugger Adams. He was a 1982 graduate of Rising Sun High School and received his Bachelors Degree from Towson University in 1986. Barry served 6 years in the Maryland Army National Guard 29th Infantry. He was employed by the Department of Transportation for the State of Maryland. He was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his parents, Barry is survived by his sister Tessa Adams Hall and her husband Ronald of Port Deposit, MD; a nephew Bradley Hall; and three nieces, Alisha, Megan and Alexis Hall.
A service honoring his life will be held at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Telegraph Road in Rising Sun on Tuesday February 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call at the church beginning at 10:00. Burial will be in Conowingo Baptist Cemetery.

I would like to send my condolences to Barry's family. I worked at MDE with Barry for about 5 years. He was a very caring person, my fondest memory of him was that there was a little kitten abandoned in the bushes by our office building and Barry took the little thing and gave it a home. The MTA Office of Safety, Quality Assurance and Risk Managment has lost one of our own. We will always remember Barry and honor his love for the outdoors, specifically fishing and the initiatives he took to keep ponds and stormwater ways clean and protected on MTA Properties! Every year he hosted clean up projects and participated in the annual car show in Baltimore to share information on keeping the environment safe. His work at the MTA was meticulous and detailed, and we were grateful for his service. He was a good and kind person and will surely be missed by his MTA family. May the Lord Shine on him. So sad to hear of Barrys passing. Barry was a great friend all through school and church. We had a lot of fun with the Royal Ambassadors at Conowingo Baptist. The snipe hunt in Nottingham Park is especially memorable; Orioles games, Jerry Clower and cruisin Newark were the best times. Don, Wanda, Tessa and family are all in our thoughts and prayers.
