Barbara J. Tackett, age 71, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012, at Harford Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Barbara was born in West Grove, PA on April 26, 1940, to the late Marvin and Mae (Steenland) Lucas. She lived all her life in the Rising Sun area, and was a graduate of Rising Sun High School. Though she worked several jobs at different times during her life, she was especially proud of her work as a mother and homemaker, caring for her husband, child, grandchild and great grandchildren. Her love will be missed but remembered by all.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Earney, daughter Marie Foster and her husband Jesse of Conowingo, MD, grandson Shane Foster and his wife Christine, and great grandchildren Samantha, Coby, and Emily, and her sister Diane Hollingsworth, of Chesapeake City, MD.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Terry Lynn Edwards; granddaughter, Shannon Foster; brother, Jackie Lucas; and stepmother Clara Lucas.
Service will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at R.T. Foard F.H., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Brookview Cemetery.
