Barbara A. Atwood, age 77, of Oxford, PA passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020. She was born in West Chester, PA on April 11, 1943 to the late Thomas Thompson and Edith (Phillipi) Thompson.

Barbara was a member of Nottingham Baptist Missionary Church for many years. She loved playing games, specifically bingo, scrabble, cards, and enjoyed doing word finding books. Barbara was a social butterfly who enjoyed talking and meeting new people. She liked everyone who she met and never spoke bad about anyone. Barbara will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Barbara is survived by her three sons: Jerry Atwood and his wife, Brenda of Port Royal, PA, Tim Atwood of Lancaster, PA, and Tony Atwood of Rising Sun, MD; daughter, Teresa Brackin and her husband, Daryl of West Grove, PA; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and two sisters: Linda Green of MD, and Diane Connell of Newark, DE.

In addition to her parents Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Atwood; daughter, Julie Johnson; and sister, Janet Brown.

A graveside service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11:00AM at Kemblesville Cemetery, in Kemblesville, PA.
