Arlean Ruby Crane (81) passed away peacefully at her home on January 16, 2022. Born on September 24, 1940 in Grassy Creek, NC she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Jane (Seagraves) DeBoard and the devoted wife of 64 years to the late Joseph Franklin Crane.
Arlean was the youngest of four children and the first child to be delivered by a doctor at the family farm. Arlean was a true country girl at heart. She enjoyed taking trips to the surrounding countryside to see the cows and reminisce about old times. Arlean always had a special way of making you feel loved and cared for. Family was always first and foremost in her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents and husband, Arlean was preceded in death by two sisters: Joanne Johnson and Glenna Aragabright; brother, Kermit DeBoard and great-granddaughter, Bridgett Crane.
Arlean is survived by three sons: Richard Crane of Westminster, MD, Dennis Crane of Elkton, MD, Joseph Crane and his wife Deb of Middleton, DE; daughter, Diane Robertson and her husband Rob of Hampstead, MD; eight grandchildren: Samantha (Chuck) Bossley, Susan Gullion, Jessica (Joseph) Cornell, Joey Crane, Jr., Nicki Constantine, Joey Constantine, Shelby Chaffman and Allie Crane; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the R.T. Foard Funeral Home – 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00am. Burial will take place in Rosebank Cemetery.
