

Aretta F. Webb, 89, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away peacefully July 5, 2013 at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center.
The daughter of the late Dewitt Talmadge and Georgia Bise Waddell, Aretta was born in Marion VA on September 7, 1923. She was a kindergarten aide at Calvert Elementary School for 16 years. She was a member of Moores Chapel United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School there for several years. During World War II she volunteered as a plane spotter at Calvert High School. Her hobbies were many crafts and she loved flower gardening. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
Aretta is survived by two sons, Frederick A. Frock, II (Jo Ann) and Jeffrey L. Frock (Louise C.), both of Rising Sun; a daughter, Vicky F. Haines of Rising Sun; six grandchildren, Amy, Aaron, Adam, Sara, Garrett and Jeremy; six great grandchildren, Justin, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Mary, Jacob and Mady; a brother, Eugene Waddell and two sisters, Melba G. Melrath and Faye Jamison. She was preceded in death by her husbands Frederick A. Frock and Eugene M. Webb; and five brothers.
A service celebrating her life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A. 111 S. queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 on Saturday July 13, 2013 at 11 am with a visitation beginning at 10 am. Burial will be in Rosebank Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation checks may be made payable to Calvert Elementary School Kindergarten for their programs.
