Annise “Anni” Frances Perry, 74, of Rising Sun, Maryland, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026. Born on August 9, 1951, in Elkton, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Corener (née Smith) Pettrea and the devoted wife of the late Donald Perry.
Annise graduated from North East High School with the Class of 1969. She married her beloved husband, Donald, on August 10, 1968. She began her career as an Administrative Assistant at Havre de Grace Hospital, where she worked for 13 years, before becoming a School Bus Aide for the Cecil County Public Schools. She took great pride in her work and the many children she cared for over the years.
She enjoyed a rich and joyful life filled with simple pleasures. Annise had a lifelong love of playing cards, particularly Rummy and Skip-Bo. In her younger years, she and Donald shared a passion for dancing and proudly won a Jitterbug contest together. She was also a devoted cat lover who cared for many feline friends throughout her life, most recently her cherished Minnie. Above all, Annise cherished her family and took immense pride in being a loving wife, aunt, and friend. Her warm smile and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ethel Hamilton and Dalton Pettrea.
She is survived by her nephews, Tommy Perry and Dale (Patty) Ross; her niece, Christy (Bob) Miller; her beloved cat, Minnie; and many extended family members and friends
