Annette Eva Hewitt, 87, of Conowingo, MD, passed away unexpectedly at her home March 3, 2015.
Born in Baltimore on December 10, 1927, Annette was the daughter of the late Frank and Ida Deiter. After raising her family, she joined Carpenter’s Local 974 and worked as a convention carpenter at the Baltimore Convention Center for 27 years. She was an active member of State Line Baptist Church and used her talents to decorate the church. She also enjoyed reading her Bible, doll collecting and camping. She loved Christmas and also loved her cats, Broken Tail, Momma Cat and Cat Cat.
Surviving are her children, Lynn Williams, Penny Hewitt, Roger C. Hewitt, Jr. and his wife Gwen, and Ginger Leonardson Hewitt; 9 grandchildren, Tricia Williams, Kelly Palmer, Jeramie, Chad, Bryce, and Paige Williams, Shawn Kunkel, Rusty Hewitt and Victoria; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Roger Carver Hewitt, Sr.
A service honoring her life will be held at State Line Baptist Church, Chrome Road in Rising Sun on Sunday March 8, 2015 at 11 am with a visitation at the church beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery at 12 noon. Gathering and lunch after grave service in our bus barn. Memorial contributions may be made to Olivet Ministries International and mailed to R.T.
