Anneliese M. Richardson, age 88, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on December 5, 2011 at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center in Rising Sun, MD. Anneliese was born in Germany to the late Albert and Franziska (Krajan) Linde on March 24, 1923.
Anneliese is survived by her son Michael A. Richardson and his wife, Burnetta of Colora, MD; brother, Willie Linde of Perry Hall, MD; and six grandchildren, Joy Corson, Michael L. Richardson of Robins Air Force Base in Georgia, Carah E. Richardson of Clarksville, TN, Justin Brooks of Mebane, NC, Daniel M. and Aaron D. Richardson of Colora, MD.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jones Clark Richardson, her daughter, Linda Rosenberger and her brother, Albert Linde.
In her teens she was training as an Olympic Diver prior to World War II and then became a professional photographer for the German Military. She defected to the United States in 1950 where she became a homemaker. She was an avid Baseball fan and loved baking, knitting, polka music and her rose bushes and was also an accomplished harmonica player.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 9, 2011 and services will be held at 11:00 am at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, PA, 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911.
Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church Cemetery in Hickory, MD.
