Anna Louise Brown, age 87 of Newark, DE passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. She was born January 25, 1926 in Glasgow, DE to the late Allen and Anna (Barr) Brown.
A secretary all her life, she worked at several businesses in the area before she worked for the City of Newark in the Electric Department from which she retired.
Louise enjoyed reading very much, as well as puzzles and growing things.
She is survived by her sisters, Eleanor Irwin of Newark, DE, Marjorie Truitt of Cherry Hill, MD, and Mary Biederman and husband Mick of Newark, DE; a brother Allan Brown, Jr. and his wife Linda of Glasgow, DE; a “grandson” Joseph Stewart; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own.
A brief service will be held at 12PM on Monday, August 26, 2013 at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711. Friends and family may visit one hour prior beginning at 11AM. Burial will follow at Pencader Cemetery in Glasgow, DE.
