













Anna B. Wasylczuk of Chesapeake City, MD, age 90, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. She was born in Chesapeake City, MD on January 10, 1927 to the late Michael and Katheryn (Mykytyn) Breza.
Anna graduated from Chesapeake City High School. In her early years, Anna worked in Wilmington, DE as a secretary for Gravely’s Landing Craft and later at Morton Thiokol in Elkton, MD.
Anna was a dedicated parishioner and choir director of St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church where she devoted time and energy supporting church functions. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed embroidering, cross-stitching, crocheting and knitting.
Anna is survived by five children: Katheryn Anna Wasylczuk Mathes and her husband, David of Waldorf, MD, Nicholas G. Wasylczuk and his wife, Carolyn of Accokeek, MD, Michael P. Wasylczuk of Arlington, VA, James P. Wasylczuk of Chesapeake City, MD and Mary Lynn Lindemann and her husband, Rance of Chelsea, MI; five grandchildren: Justin Wasylczuk, Nicholas Jonkman, Michael Mathes, Corey and Justin Lindemann; and three great-grandchildren: Maeona and Liv Wasylczuk, and Miro Jonkman.
In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Nicholas Wasylczuk; her two sisters: Mary Terpeluk and her husband, Myron, and Olga Luzetsky and her husband, Stephen.
A visitation will be held Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 3 PM to 5 PM in the R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD 21915. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11 AM in the St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, St. Basil’s Ave., Chesapeake City, MD 21915. Burial will follow at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Anna’s honor may be made payable to “St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church” and send in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, PO Box 27, Chesapeake City, MD 21915.
