Anita Louise Hansen, 64, of Townsend, Delaware, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026. Born on May 14, 1961, in Wilmington, Delaware, Anita was a longtime resident of Sycamore Farms and the KenCrest Group Home community, where she was deeply cherished by everyone who knew her.

Anita brought joy to all those around her with her bright, infectious smile and warm spirit. She was a happy soul who found delight in simple pleasures. She loved creating arts and crafts, bowling, spending days at the beach, shopping at the mall, and sharing meals with her friends. Her cheerful presence and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sydney and Joy Hansen, and her two sisters.

Anita will be remembered by the many friends and dedicated staff members from Sycamore Farms and KenCrest who became her extended family and cared for her with such love and devotion.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 p.m. at R. T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE. A reception will follow at the Middletown Senior Center.

Anita will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Her joyful spirit and loving nature will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
