Angel “Sonny” M. Lozano, age 80, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024 at Perry Point Veteran’s Hospice.
Sonny was survived by his loving wife, Linda Fretwell Lozano of 40 years. He is also survived by his son Xavier Lozano, his grandchildren Jasmin and Xavier Lozano; his siblings Aida Lozano, Juan Lozano, (Jenelle) and Evelyn Lozano.
Sonny was predeceased by his father Juan Lozano, mother Angelina Lozano; sister Ana Lopez-Lozano.
Sonny was a retired Staff Sergeant from the US Army, Aberdeen Proving Ground and Social Security Administration. Sonny served his country proudly with several tours including Vietnam and Germany.
Sonny loved true crime dramas and the New York Yankees. Sonny had a passion for others, never met a stranger and could always be counted on for a good laugh. He loved playing the guitar and singing with his friends.
The family wishes to thank the Perry Point Veteran’s Hospice staff for taking such good care of him in his final days.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “VA Maryland Health Care System”, with “In memory of Angel M. Lozano” noted in the memo line and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
