Andrew Frank Scherr, 61, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 peacefully at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Lise Scherr, after a brief and courageously fought battle with cancer.
Born in Los Angeles, CA, on August 26, 1960 to Margo Rantanen and the late Richard J. Scherr, Andrew grew up in Morrisville, PA and attended Pennsbury High School. Andrew was from a large family and universally considered the most spirited. Andrew was independent, held strong opinions and beliefs, and was not afraid to share them. He was passionate about social and racial justice issues.
At the age of seventeen, Andrew enlisted in the Marine Corps. He valued this service highly. Andrew loved music, particularly Led Zeppelin, was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, and enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was fiercely proud of his children, adored his grandchildren and considered them his greatest achievement.
He is survived by his children: Tara and her fiancé Chris Seifert; Kyla and her fiancé Axel Schulte; and Jaiden and his wife, Nina; grandchildren Max Krueger and Leo Seifert; mother Margo; siblings Rick, Laura, Julie, Peter and his wife, Lise, and Christine and husband, Vince Isakson, his step-brother Bruce Pashley, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
