Amos J. Husfelt, Jr., 84, of Elkton, MD passed away peacefully Monday, March 16, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
Born January 19, 1931 in North East, MD, Amos was the son of the late Amos John Husfelt, Sr. and Alberta Ruth (McKinney) Anderson. Amos was an enthusiastic Ravens fan and he also enjoyed watching NASCAR. He loved getting people smile and laugh even with his sometimes “ornery” antics. His most cherished memories were his time spent with his wonderful family and friends.
Amos is survived by his daughter, Ruth “Rocky” Sargent; sons, Dale “Poochie” Kropf and Dale C. Moxley; two grandchildren, Deanna Warden and her husband, Chad and William “Bucky” Sargent; three great grandchildren, Marissa Warden, Angelia Warden, and Savannah Skye Sargent; brothers, David Husfelt, Richard Anderson, and Phillip Anderson; sister, Oletia Kirby; and several friends and extended family.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Irean (Moxley) Husfelt; brothers, Jimmy Husfelt, Charlie Husfelt, Bezzy Anderson, and Neal Anderson; and sister, Hester Combs.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience to the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Ruth Ann Sargent to help with medical and funeral expenses and sent in care to R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 E. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921.
