Alva “Buster” N. Branch Jr. (67) of Newark, DE passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 1, 1954 to the late Alva N. Branch Sr. and Esther Carrico.
Buster served in the United States Air Force as Military Police for four years. During his time in The U.S. Air Force, he spent time in Minot, North Dakota and Ramstein, Germany. He then became employed by McDonalds under Dukart Management Corporation, with whom he remained employed for more than 35 years. He started as a crew member and eventually worked his way up to be a successful General Manager for multiple locations. During his retirement years he enjoyed riding his Honda Goldwing, woodworking and traveling with his family.
Buster is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Janet D. Branch; one daughter Jennifer L. Taylor (Kyle); two grandsons Nathan and Anthony, who will greatly miss their Poppy; two brothers: Gary Branch and Steve Branch (Vera); two sisters Kathy Ryser (Ken) and Robin Russell. Buster also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and family that will greatly miss him.
In addition to his parents, Buster was preceded in death by his stepfather Charles Carrico.
