Alice “Joyce” Knisley, age 88, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Joyce was born on June 27, 1938, in Cumberland, MD. She was the daughter of the late Helen Hayes (Thacker) Knisley and the late Paul E. Knisley. Joyce was retired from the University of Delaware.
Joyce is survived by her nieces, Linda Jaeger and Diane Hain; great-niece, Jessica Coyle; great-nephew, Christopher Coyle; and great-great-nephew, Aiden Coyle.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Knisley.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Newark Cemetery, Chapel Street, Newark, Delaware 19711.
