Alice “Mammaw” E. Boyce-Corral

Alice E. Boyce-Corral, age 83, of North East, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2023. She was born on December 17, 1939 in Clay County, West Virginia to the late Jerd Andrew Nelson and Nellie Greathouse.

Alice was an admirable homecare giver, where she took care of those in her own home. Alice fiercely loved her family. She enjoyed raising her grandchildren, who called her Mammaw, and spending as much time as she could with them. You could find Alice enjoying her trips going thrift shopping or enjoying what she called “her tomato sandwiches.” She enjoyed crocheting in her free time and had an interest for ceramics. Alice will be missed by all who knew her.

Alice is survived by her children: John Boyce, Sharon Compton, Patricia Hunt, and Teresa Boyce; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded by her first husband, John Boyce, Sr; second husband, Jesse Corral; daughter, Deborah Steele; and grandson, John Brandon Steele, Sr.
