Alexander Vincent Gonzales, Jr., age 60, of Elkton, MD, passed away on November 3, 2024. He
was born on December 11, 1963, in Danville, PA, to Alexander Vincent Gonzales, Sr. and
Eleanor Marie (Cellitti) Gonzales.
Alex’s greatest joy in life was being a devoted father to his two daughters, Allison and Taylor
Gonzales, who shared his love for family and his beloved dogs throughout his life. He worked in
the family business as an Insurance Agent, fostering strong bonds both personally and
professionally.
A longtime musician and passionate rock fan, Alex was rarely seen without a guitar in hand. He
played lead guitar in the Chesapeake City band, Even Exchange, sharing his love of music with
friends and family. In addition to his musical pursuits, Alex had a keen interest in computer
programming and was an avid gamer, particularly enjoying virtual reality video games.
A loyal Corvette enthusiast, Alex owned a Corvette since he was 26 years old and was an
active member of the National Corvette Club, showcasing his passion for these classic cars.
Alex is survived by his former spouse, Susanne Gonzales; his loving daughters, Allison
Gonzales and her husband, Bryan, and Taylor Gonzales; his siblings, Lisa Vible and her
husband, Bill, and Eric Gonzales; his parents, Eleanor and Alexander Gonzales, Sr.; his nieces,
Ashley and Lacy Vible; his great niece and goddaughter, Alaina Vible; and his great nephew,
Hunter Vible.
Alex will be deeply missed by all who knew him, remembered for his vibrant spirit, musical
talent, and the love he shared with his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11:00am at Holy
Angels Catholic Parish, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE 19711. A visitation will be held at
the church beginning at 10:00am. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made payable to the “Alzheimer’s Association” sent in care of
R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A. at 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD, 21921.
