Alex Smirnoff (65) of Elkton, Maryland passed away on June 20, 2022. He was born in Moscow, Russia on December 15, 1956. He came to visit the U.S in 1996, fell in love with the country and never went back.
Alex worked as a handyman specializing in home improvement, and construction. He was a skilled craftsman and enjoyed working with his hands. He could fix just about anything, from lawn mowers to cars. If something was broken, Alex could fix it. When Alex wasn’t hard at work, he enjoyed cooking and would often look up recipes on google to prepare for friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Alex is survived by his partner of over 20 years, Maria Phillips; step-children: William Phillips, John Phillips, Dorothea Phillips and Roland Phillips.
A service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 7:00PM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. The family will begin receiving friends at 6:00PM. To send online condolences please visit, www.rtfoard.com
